The fortune of Azerbaijani-born Russian businessman Vahid Alakbarov, founder of Lukoil, continues to grow.

Modern.az reports with reference to foreign media that, according to the latest information, the billionaire's fortune has reached 29.7 billion dollars. He has increased his fortune by 800 million dollars since the beginning of 2026.

With this, Alakbarov maintains his position among the richest people in the world. The increase in his fortune is mainly associated with the increase in the market value of his assets in the energy sector. Vahid Alakbarov has been considered one of the most influential businessmen operating in the oil and gas industry for many years.

He is regularly ranked among the richest businessmen in various international billionaire rankings. It should be noted that 76-year-old Vahid Alakbarov was born in Baku in 1950.
