Ukrainian authorities announced that two people were killed and at least 19 were injured as a result of Russian air strikes on the Zaporizhzhia region.
Modern.az reports that Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, provided this information.
According to him, the Russian army initially struck the city of Zaporizhzhia with guided aerial bombs. As a result of the attack, two people died and at least 16 were injured.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine stated that several residential buildings were partially destroyed in one of the city's districts, and a fire broke out in a garage where a car was located. The fire was extinguished by rescuers.
Later, the village of Shevchenkivske, located east of the regional center, was also hit. According to Ivan Fedorov, during this attack, a three-year-old resident was injured, a private residential building was destroyed, and a car was annihilated.
The Russian Ministry of Defense has not commented on the Ukrainian side's statements regarding the alleged strikes on Zaporizhzhia as of the time the news was published. In addition, the ministry announced that the settlement of Novoselivka in the Zaporizhzhia region had been taken under control.
