Iranian officials have stated that they do not plan to hold any talks with the US in Doha in the coming days.
Modern.az reports that this information was shared by Ismail Baghai, an official representative of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on the ministry's "Telegram" channel.
The Foreign Ministry official strongly denied the circulated news:
"We have no plans to hold talks with the US at any level in the coming days. The visit of the American delegation to Qatar is in no way connected with the steps the Iranian delegation will take towards the implementation of the memorandum provisions."
In parallel, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi also confirmed that no technical consultations between the parties were planned in Doha on June 30.
It should be recalled that on the night of June 29, the "Axios" portal reported that the US and Iran had agreed to cease mutual strikes. According to the claims, Washington and Tehran were supposed to hold consultations in Doha on June 30 to resolve disagreements regarding the Strait of Hormuz.
The "Reuters" agency reported that Washington would be represented in the talks in the Qatari capital by US President's special envoy Steve Witkoff and White House chief's son-in-law Jared Kushner. However, official Tehran's latest statements have revealed that this meeting will not take place.
