Kazem Gharibabadi, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister and member of the negotiating team for the implementation of the memorandum with the US, denied reports that technical consultations between Iranian and US representatives would be held in Doha, the capital of Qatar, this week.
Modern.az reports that the Iranian diplomat told reporters that such meetings are not currently on the agenda.
“No technical meetings of working groups are planned for this week. Although consultations with Qatar, including on issues of monitoring the fulfillment of the other side's obligations, continue as usual, reports in some media about technical working group talks in Doha are not confirmed,” Gharibabadi emphasized.
The Deputy Minister noted that the parties have not yet agreed on the venue and time for technical talks.
“Consultations on this issue continue with the support of mediating countries,” he said.
