Azerbaijan and Russia discussed the synchronization of infrastructure capabilities of border crossing points.

The discussions took place at a meeting held between delegations led by Shahin Bagirov, Chairman of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, Colonel-General of the Customs Service, and Valery Pikalyov, Head of the Customs Service of Russia.
The parties also exchanged views on accelerating the passage of goods during certain seasonal periods and eliminating possible congestion during the passage of cargo vehicles.
Within the framework of the meeting, the delegations got acquainted on site with the existing infrastructure, technical equipment, throughput capabilities and current activities of the "Yarag-Kazmalar" and "Tahirkand-Kazmalar" customs-crossing points of the North Caucasus Customs Administration of the Russian Customs Service.
During the meeting, the current state of cooperation was discussed, and prospective directions were identified.
