Gendarmerie officer killed while intervening in a fight in Turkey

In Eskişehir, Turkey, a gendarmerie officer who was trying to restore order during a fight died as a result of his injuries.

Modern.az reports that Gendarmerie Specialist Sergeant Mehmet Demirbaş, who intervened in a fight in Eskişehir, was seriously injured. Although he was taken to the hospital, he lost his life despite the efforts of the doctors.

An investigation into the incident is underway.
