After the US army's strikes on Iran, the transport links of Bandar Abbas, one of the country's most strategic cities, have been severely disrupted.

Modern.az reports that The Telegraph published information about this.

According to the information, as a result of the US military forces' strikes on bridges and transport infrastructure, the city of Bandar Abbas, with a population of approximately 500,000, has been virtually isolated from the rest of Iran.

The publication writes that the main bridges connecting the city with other regions of the country have been destroyed, and railway lines have been put out of order. As a result, one of the main ports, through which approximately half of Iran's foreign trade is carried out, has faced serious problems.

It is noted that Bandar Abbas is of vital importance for Iran not only economically but also militarily. The country's main naval base is located in the city, and this base is considered one of the main pillars of Tehran's control capabilities over the Strait of Hormuz.

According to The Telegraph's assessment, the disruption of the city's transport links could severely affect both Iran's internal logistics and foreign trade operations.
