A MiG-29 fighter jet crashed in Ukraine's Odesa region while performing a combat mission.
Modern.az reports that the Ukrainian Air Force (UAF) announced this on its Telegram channel.
"On the evening of August 10, 2026, a MiG-29 fighter of the Air Force was lost while performing a combat mission," the statement said.
The pilot was able to eject and is currently in the hospital. According to preliminary information, the plane caught fire during the launch of an aviation missile, and the pilot lost control.
It should be recalled that on July 29, contact was lost with an F-16 fighter while performing a combat mission to intercept targets in the sky over Ukraine. The pilot of the plane successfully ejected.
