US President Donald Trump said he would demand that Iran pay compensation for the deaths and serious injuries of US servicemen.
Modern.az reports that Trump made a post about this on the social network “Truth Social”.
According to him, Iranian officials are demanding compensation for the damage caused to the country as a result of the military conflict that has been going on for the last five months. In response, Trump announced that he intends to put forward reciprocal demands to Tehran.
The US President stated that these demands include the issue of compensation for American servicemen killed and wounded in various conflicts.
Trump also emphasized the importance of paying compensation to the families of participants in protests held in Iran over the past 50 years.
He said he instructed his representatives to strongly raise these demands in future talks with Tehran.
It should be noted that earlier, on August 9, Trump announced that the US was negotiating with Iran. According to him, Washington is conducting these negotiations “with half power” and at the same time monitoring the economic situation in Iran.
