Iran hit the Prime Minister's office with UAVs

The personal office of Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq, as well as the residence of the head of the intelligence service in Erbil, were hit.

Modern.az reports that this was stated in a statement released by local media.

According to the information, the attack was carried out by two kamikaze UAVs, which are said to have been launched from the Iranian side.

The incident took place at 00:28 local time in the Salahaddin neighborhood. It was reported that Hadid-110 type UAVs equipped with explosives were used during the attack.

There were no deaths or injuries as a result of the strike.

The KRG Counter-Terrorism Department strongly condemned the attack and stated that such actions are unacceptable.

The statement emphasized that all responsibility for the incident and possible consequences lies with those who carried out the attack.

Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan autonomy, also condemned the attack. In a statement published on his social media account, he called what happened a "dangerous escalation" and stated that the incident poses a direct threat to the security and stability of the region.

Iranian officials have not yet commented on the incident.
