US President Donald Trump made a series of statements regarding Iran, the Strait of Hormuz, Oman, and Israel in an interview with Fox News reporter Trey Yingst.
Modern.az reports that Trump used harsh words regarding Oman while explaining his position on the Strait of Hormuz.
Trump said that if Oman interferes with US activities in the Strait of Hormuz, “we will bomb them badly.”
The US President also stated that he has secret communication channels with officials of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran.
Trump said that Iran possesses a large number of medium-level weapons.
Speaking about the expiration of the agreement with Iran, Trump emphasized that the Tehran leadership “must surrender” and said, “I am not in a hurry.”
Trump stated that the naval blockade imposed by the US against Iran created “economic pressure” and claimed that Iran was “bluffing” on this issue.
The US President also commented on the elections to be held in Israel in October. “It is the most correct option for me to stay out of the Israeli elections. However, I can support one of the candidates,” Trump noted.
Trump also revealed that they maintain contact with Hamas through various channels. He said that Hamas “will lay down its weapons” and stated that Israel “should not attack Gaza.”
