Russian President Vladimir Putin will receive US President Donald Trump's special representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner at the Kremlin today, September 5.
Modern.az reports that this was announced by the press secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov.
US negotiating representatives arrived in Moscow on Saturday to discuss the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine.
According to Peskov, Putin instructed not to strike Kyiv for three days starting from midnight on September 5.
"Russian President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Putin instructed not to strike Kyiv for three days starting from midnight today. This is related to the preparation and conduct of the Americans' contacts in Kyiv," Peskov said.
Earlier, Ukrainian media reported that a ceasefire regime was introduced in the Armed Forces of Ukraine from midnight on September 5 until September 8.
According to information, Witkoff and Kushner will go to Kyiv after the meetings in Moscow. They are scheduled to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on September 6.
US President Donald Trump had previously stated that he sent Witkoff and Kushner to Russia and Ukraine with proposals for ending the war.
