Concessions for Armenian goods have been approved.
Modern.az reports that the European Parliament has approved a bill providing for the application of trade concessions to Armenian products.
583 deputies voted in favor of the project, 49 deputies against, and 39 deputies abstained.
It should be noted that on September 2, the EU Council (Coreper II – at the ambassadorial level) approved a legislative initiative providing for the temporary suspension of customs duties on a wide range of Armenian products for two years and the liberalization of approximately 80 percent of Armenia's exports to the EU.
On September 3, the European Parliament's Committee on International Trade (INTA) supported the project with 35 votes in favor, 2 against, and 3 abstentions.
