In April 2026, one of the highest increases in Azerbaijan's non-oil exports was recorded for strawberry products.
Modern.az reports that this information was reflected in the May issue of the "Export Review" of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) for 2026.
Thus, in the reporting month, strawberry exports amounted to 11.1 million US dollars. This indicator increased more than 5 times compared to 2.2 million dollars in the same period last year.
In addition, gold exports in April amounted to 35.89 million dollars, which means an increase of 18.8% compared to the previous year. Cotton fiber exports reached 35.83 million dollars, increasing by 62.9%.
Tomato exports amounted to 30 million dollars. This indicator decreased by 0.3% compared to the corresponding period last year.
Exports of copper ores and concentrates amounted to 27.1 million dollars. Exports of this product increased more than 9 times from 3 million dollars in the same period last year.
Exports of polyethylene in primary forms amounted to 14.4 million dollars, which means an increase of 34.6%. Exports of propylene copolymers in primary forms increased by 16.2% to 11.5 million dollars.
During the reporting period, exports of hazelnuts amounted to 10.9 million dollars, showing an increase of 4.8%, and exports of white sugar and other sucrose amounted to 9.5 million dollars, showing an increase of 1.1%.
