Yesterday, Adıgözəl Məmmədov, father of martyr Səxavət Məmmədov, murdered his daughter-in-law Gülüzar Məmmədova in Ramana settlement, Sabunçu district.
Neighbors provided details of the murder to Modern.az.
It was reported that the reason for the father-in-law killing his daughter-in-law was his desire to appropriate the monthly allowance card intended for martyr families that she possessed.
According to neighbors, there had been disputes between the parties over the house before. Buildings constructed near Shusha city were given to martyr families after the 44-day war. One of these houses was presented to Səxavət Məmmədov's family. However, the martyr's father, Adıgözəl Məmmədov, evicted his daughter-in-law from this house and started living there with his grandchildren.
“To take the card from his daughter-in-law, they called her home on June 1st – International Children's Day – as an excuse. As she was returning home after meeting with the children, her father-in-law followed her and stabbed her in the elevator.”
Neighbors stated that they came out after hearing a commotion:
“The elevators here close late. He stabbed her at that very moment. We came out to the noise and saw it.”
It should be noted that Adıgözəl Məmmədov, suspected of committing the murder, was 60 years old, and his murdered daughter-in-law, Gülüzar Məmmədova, was 31.
Gülüzar Məmmədova and martyr Səxavət Məmmədov had two children.
