Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that farmers will be supported due to products that cannot be exported to Russia due to restrictions imposed by Russia.
Modern.az reports that Pashinyan spoke about this at a government meeting.
He stated that support and subsidy programs will be implemented for farmers if "unfair obstacles" arise against the export of products from Armenia. However, the prime minister admitted that in some cases there are also quality problems in the products of Armenian manufacturers.
According to Pashinyan, Armenia is currently working on opening new export markets, and several business delegations have already been sent to foreign countries.
The Prime Minister noted that the volume of agricultural products exported by Armenia is not large, and even one European supermarket chain can accept the entire volume of these products.
It should be noted that earlier, Russia's Rosselkhoznadzor agency imposed certain restrictions on Armenian products.
