The ranking of countries by artificial intelligence usage for the first quarter of 2026 has been announced.
Modern.az reports that the report was prepared and published by the Microsoft AI Economy Institute.
The study focused not on investment volume, number of startups, or data center capacity, but on the actual level of generative artificial intelligence usage by the working-age population.
Azerbaijan ranked 62nd in the rating with a score of 17.7 percent. Georgia ranked 54th with 20.5 percent, Turkey 65th with 17.4 percent, and Kazakhstan 70th with 15.9 percent.
Armenia ranked 139th with 7.4 percent, Russia 117th with 9.5 percent, and Ukraine 118th with 9 percent. Iran took 85th place with 12.6 percent.
The United Arab Emirates leads the ranking. 70.1 percent of the working-age population in the country actively uses artificial intelligence.
Singapore (63.4%), Norway (48.4%), Ireland (48.4%), France (47.8%) and Spain (44.8%) ranked next.
