Konul Hamidova, the wife of Azerbaijan's National Hero, martyred Colonel Shukur Hamidov, has been provided with an apartment.
Modern.az reports that the wife of the National Hero stated this. In a letter she recently wrote to President Ilham Aliyev, she expressed gratitude to the head of state for receiving an apartment:
“The measures you have implemented after the war to provide apartments for the families of martyrs and veterans, and to improve their social welfare, are met with great approval by society. As a result of this care, I have also been provided with an apartment. For this, I once again express my sincere gratitude to you”, - Konul Hamidova noted in her letter addressed to the head of the country.
Shukur Hamidov showed great bravery in the April 2016 battles during the recapture of the Lalatapa height. By the President's decree dated April 22, 2016, he was awarded the title “National Hero of Azerbaijan”, and later was prematurely promoted to the military rank of colonel.
In the Patriotic War, Sh. Hamidov participated in operations for the liberation of some villages of his native Gubadli.
He was martyred on October 22, 2020, in the battles for the liberation of Gubadli district.
He was buried in the Second Alley of Martyrs.
Posthumously, he was awarded the medals “For the Motherland”, "For the Liberation of Fuzuli", "For the Liberation of Jabrayil", "For the Liberation of Gubadli", and the "Victory" Order.
The National Hero is survived by 1 son and 1 daughter.
