Turkish defense industry company ROKETSAN has successfully completed the tests of the KARAOK short-range anti-tank missile system.
Modern.az reports that all launches carried out under four different scenarios accurately hit the target, which once again confirmed the high combat capability of the system.
During the tests, KARAOK's "fire and forget" principle of operation was demonstrated. In addition, the effectiveness of the missile's armor-piercing tandem warhead was also practically proven. It is reported that the system can destroy targets with high accuracy both from a very close distance - approximately 76 meters, and close to the maximum combat range - up to 2500 meters.
It is noted that KARAOK has similar capabilities to the US-made FGM-148 Javelin and Russian-made 9M133 Kornet anti-tank missile systems due to its functional features. This is considered another important technological achievement in Turkey's local defense industry.
