Armenian Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan spoke about his meeting with Sahiba Gafarova.
Modern.az reports that the speaker, answering questions from REAL TV, said that the meeting went very well.
“You may be surprised, but there are no disagreements. There are mutual understandings, friendly relations, and plans for future joint cooperation. We did not encounter any obstacles during the negotiations. I hope that we will not face any obstacles in the future either.”
The speaker also spoke about the export of products from Azerbaijan to Armenia:
“The export of products from Azerbaijan to Armenia and the export of products to Armenia via Azerbaijan are highly appreciated in Armenia. I have been saying for a long time that we should have trade cooperation, and I think we should expand this cooperation further. Our businessmen, governments, and relevant institutions are working in this direction, and this is a very good thing. We should continue and deepen our work in this direction.”
A. Simonyan also shared his thoughts on the mutual visits of NGOs of both countries:
"I highly appreciate the mutual visits of non-governmental organizations. Don't you see how these meetings are held and what feedback is given afterwards? We have known each other for a long time and very well. Thank God, that dark page between our peoples is already behind us. Now, as politicians and those who lead the processes, we must develop this, we must not miss this good opportunity."
