Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has launched another attack on the Armenian Church.
Modern.az reports with reference to Armenian media that, according to Pashinyan, religious figures cannot remain outside the general income declaration system.
“We have been saying for a long time that the church should pay taxes,” he noted.
According to the Prime Minister, the church does not want to be accountable to the people.
“The church is the people, no Catholicos has ever been the church,” Pashinyan said.
