Iran does not recognize the extension of the ceasefire proposed by the United States and has stated that it will only act in accordance with its national interests from now on.

Modern.az reports that Mehdi Mohammadi, an advisor to the speaker of the Iranian parliament, made a statement about this. He stated that the extension of the ceasefire could create an opportunity for the US to launch a new strike against Iran.

According to the information, Iran's ambassador to Tunisia, Mir Masoud Hosseinian, noted that the issue of whether Tehran will participate in the next talks with the US is still being considered and a final decision has not been made.

At the same time, former US President Donald Trump severely threatened Iran.

He stated that if the Strait of Hormuz is unblocked, the US could destroy the rest of Iran, including its leadership. According to Trump, Iran is interested in opening the strait because it loses approximately $500 million in oil revenue daily.

In addition, according to a report by "NBC News" citing US intelligence data, Iran still has serious military potential. It is reported that the country has thousands of missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles in its arsenal, and a large part of its air and naval forces have maintained their combat capability.

It is noted that the failure of talks between the parties could lead to a further increase in tension in the region and an increase in the risks of new confrontations.
