The number of Azerbaijani citizens missing as a result of Armenia's military aggression has been updated.
Modern.az reports that the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons has registered 4005 people as missing as a result of Armenia's military aggression against Azerbaijan.
Of them, 3999 people went missing in the First Karabakh War, and 6 people went missing during the Patriotic War and the subsequent period.
Of the 3998 people missing in the First Karabakh War, 3218 are servicemen, and 781 (71 children, 287 women, 334 elderly) are civilians. Of the missing persons, 3711 are men and 288 are women. As a result of Armenia's military aggression against Azerbaijan, the identities of 220 missing-martyrs from the First Karabakh War have been identified and handed over to their families for burial.
