Azerbaijan has joined the ranks of countries that fulfill their regular budget obligations to the UN on time.
Modern.az reports that as of May 28, 2026, a total of 111 member states have fully made their scheduled payments to the UN's regular budget.
According to the list published by the UN, Azerbaijan is among the 55 countries that made the payment within the specified period.
According to the information, the amount paid by Azerbaijan to the UN's regular budget was 1 million 81 thousand 698 US dollars. The last payment was made on January 22, 2026.
Among the countries that paid on time were Germany, Great Britain, Canada, Australia, Poland, Kazakhstan, and other states.
One of the highest payments on the list belonged to Germany - 182.2 million dollars. Great Britain paid 127.9 million, and Canada paid 81.4 million dollars.
It should be noted that the UN's regular budget is used to finance the organization's main activities, programs, and administrative expenses.
