The funeral ceremony of Iran's former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei will be held after June 26.
Modern.az reports that “Tasnim” agency disseminated information about this, citing the office for the preservation and publication of Khamenei's works.
According to the information, although various claims about the time of the former supreme leader's funeral ceremony have been made in local and foreign media in recent days, these reports have not been officially confirmed.
The statement said that the farewell and funeral ceremony for Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei will be held after the first ten days of the month of Muharram. It was noted that the exact date and other details of the ceremony will be announced to the public later.
It should be recalled that, according to information previously disseminated by Iranian officials, Khamenei will be buried in the Imam Reza shrine in Mashhad, which is considered one of the most important religious centers in the country, in accordance with his will.
It should be noted that it was announced that Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, along with close family members, died on February 28 in Tehran during a joint attack by the US and Israel. After this, his son Mojtaba Khamenei was elected in his place.
