Chinese scientists have announced that they have developed a new microwave weapon reportedly capable of disabling satellites in low Earth orbit, including the Starlink satellite system.

According to the information, the system developed by researchers at China's National University of Defense Technology consists of several pulsed microwave emitters and is capable of generating directed pulses with a power of 100 gigawatts.
It is reported that even pulses with a power of 1 gigawatt can damage the equipment of satellites in low Earth orbit, while the power of the new system is many times higher.
According to the publication, the first prototypes of the new weapon have already been developed and handed over to the Chinese army for field testing.
