A spokesperson for Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Islamabad is working to "bring the US and Iran to the negotiating table" and prevent attempts to disrupt the peace process.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Tahir Andrabi, spokesperson for Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at a press conference.

The statement comes amid ongoing efforts to implement a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at restoring a ceasefire between the US and Iran.
Andrabi stated that on August 10, Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Deputy Foreign Minister held talks with officials from Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait.
According to him, the foreign ministers of Pakistan and Iran exchanged views on "efforts towards promoting peace and stability."
Pakistan's Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi is also visiting Tehran. Andrabi stated that this visit provides an additional opportunity to discuss bilateral relations and regional security issues.
