The continuous normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia can strengthen stability in the South Caucasus and allow for the creation of new trade routes.

Modern.az reports that this was stated in the report of the international rating agency “Moody’s”.

According to the agency's assessment, achieving a long-term agreement between Baku and Yerevan will strengthen regional stability, improve transport connections, and create new opportunities for the development of trade and transit relations in the Caucasus.

“Moody’s” also considers the Middle Corridor as an additional source of economic growth for the countries of the region. The increase in cargo transportation along the route already contributes to the development of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Georgia, while also creating economic benefits for Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.

The agency's analysts believe that investments in transport, logistics, energy and digital infrastructure will help diversify the economies of the South Caucasus and Central Asian countries.
