Tajikistan intends to withdraw from membership of the International Criminal Court (ICC).
Modern.az reports that the press service of the Parliament of Tajikistan has released information about this.
It was stated that a draft law providing for the country's withdrawal from the ICC has been submitted to the lower house of parliament.
It should be noted that in 2025, the European Union accused Tajikistan of not implementing the ICC's arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin. At that time, the EU stated that Tajikistan was a party to the Rome Statute and therefore had certain obligations regarding the court's decisions.
The draft law on Tajikistan's withdrawal from the ICC is expected to be discussed in parliament.
