Moscow and Baku have overcome the recent crisis in bilateral relations.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by the Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Sergey Shoigu, at a meeting of the Presidium of the Scientific-Expert Council of the p.
“We note with satisfaction that the crisis phase in bilateral relations, which has been observed recently, has been overcome thanks to the joint efforts of Moscow and Baku. Now the common task is to consistently develop Russian-Azerbaijani cooperation in accordance with the agreements reached between the leaders,” Shoigu said.
The Secretary of the Russian Security Council stated that Moscow supports the development of relations with Azerbaijan on the basis of the existing bilateral treaty and legal framework.
In this context, he specifically mentioned the Declaration on Allied Interaction signed by the presidents of Azerbaijan and Russia, as well as the principles of good neighborliness and partnership.
Shoigu added that Russian President Vladimir Putin has also repeatedly stated that he supports the continuation of joint activities of the two countries in this direction.
It should be noted that on July 17, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov also stated that Moscow and Baku had left behind the complex stage in bilateral relations and that the entire spectrum of relations had been normalized.
