Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has once again stated the importance of radical reforms in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).
Modern.az reports that the Turkish head of state called for the abolition of the veto right in the organization.
Erdogan stated that the veto right must be abolished so that no state has the ability to unilaterally block the will of the world majority.
Criticizing the current structure of the organization, the Turkish leader also proposed to completely abandon the principle of permanent membership. According to him, countries should be elected to the UN Security Council for a specified period and on a rotational basis.
