Thus, in the first quarter of this year, a total of 285 citizens of Azerbaijan were deported from European Union countries.
Brotherly Turkey took the first place on the list. During the reporting period, 3555 Turkish citizens were deported from EU countries. The neighboring country also takes the second place on the list. Thus, Georgia, whose 2060 citizens were deported, took the 2nd place on the list. Other neighboring countries - Russia, Iran and Armenia - are also on the list. 900 citizens of Russia, 285 of Armenia, and 130 of Iran were deported from the territory of the Union during January-March of this year.
In total, in the first quarter of 2026, although EU countries ordered 108.5 thousand people to leave the territory, only 34.6 thousand of them were actually deported.
