Pre-trial detention has been ordered for four more employees of Istanbul Municipality.
Modern.az reports, citing TRT, that by court order, the Municipality's Digital Media Coordinator Ulaş Yılmaz, as well as Smart Cities Department employees İsmet Korkmaz, Yusuf Utku Şahin, and Baran Gönül have been arrested.
It should be noted that the arrested individuals are accused of leaking data via the “İstanbul Senin” mobile application. During the investigation, it was determined that data belonging to 4.7 million users was transferred to foreign countries, and that data of 3.7 million users was put up for sale on the “dark web”.
