Finnish President Alexander Stubb proposed a meeting between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump in Johannesburg at the end of November.
Modern.az reports, citing foreign media, that Alexander Stubb considered it appropriate to hold talks at the G20 summit in South Africa on November 21-22.

South Africa has not yet commented on the possibility of a meeting between Presidents Putin and Trump in Johannesburg.

Earlier, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov announced that Vladimir Putin would not participate in the G20 summit, but Russia would be represented at the appropriate level.

After a phone call on October 16, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump announced their readiness to meet within the next two weeks. The capital of Hungary was chosen as the venue for the bilateral summit. A few days later, Trump announced that the talks had been canceled because the American side doubted the possibility of achieving "desired goals." In Russia, however, it is believed that the talks were not canceled, but only postponed for a certain period.
