A meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) Council was held in St. Petersburg.
Modern.az reports that the meeting was opened by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Putin stated that Russia is interested in developing relations with EAEU countries. He added that the association has established itself as a self-sufficient center of a multipolar world.
The meeting began in a limited format with the participation of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenka, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, and Bakytzhan Sagintayev, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
It should be noted that an informal meeting of CIS leaders will be held tomorrow.
