The program of activity of the government for 2026-2031 is being discussed in the Armenian parliament.

Modern.az reports with reference to the Armenian media that the program is presented in the parliament by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

Pashinyan stated that the new Constitution of the country, which is being prepared, should not include a reference to the Declaration of Independence adopted in 1990.

The Prime Minister added that the text of the new draft Constitution will be published in the coming months.

According to him, the absence of a reference to the 1990 Declaration of Independence in the new basic law will be one of the main issues.

The head of the Armenian government noted that the authorities decided to complete, not continue, the "Karabakh movement", and the citizens of Armenia confirmed this decision.

It should be noted that the discussion of the government's program for 2026-2031 in the Armenian parliament is considered an important stage in terms of the country's future political and legal course.
