Teachers' unions and labor associations operating in several provinces have also joined the ongoing nationwide protests in Iran.

Modern.az reports that, according to Iranian media, the organizations stated in their declarations that economic difficulties, social inequality, and pressure from authorities are the main causes of the widespread discontent.

According to them, rising inflation, low wages, and social security problems have made the protest actions inevitable.

Among those supporting the protests are the families of those who died in the plane crash that occurred in 2020. This refers to the Boeing 737 passenger aircraft belonging to "Ukraine International Airlines" that was shot down in Iranian airspace. The families have called on the authorities to end the violent suppression of protests and the use of force against peaceful citizens.

According to reports, trade unions and public associations emphasized the peaceful nature of the protest actions and called for socio-economic demands to be resolved through dialogue. The continuation of protests simultaneously in several provinces indicates that the discontent in the country encompasses broader social strata.
