A day earlier, the American magazine "Time" claimed, citing high-ranking officials of the Iranian Ministry of Health, that the number of deaths in the mass protests on January 8 and 9 could reach 30,000.
On January 23, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stated that more than 3,000 people had died as a result of the unrest in the Islamic Republic.
