US President Donald Trump said he completely ruled out the possibility of using nuclear weapons against Iran.
Modern.az reports that the American leader said this in a statement to journalists at the White House. His speech was broadcast on the YouTube channel of the US administration.
The US President stressed that Washington does not consider a nuclear strike as a means of pressure on Tehran, and this issue has already been removed from the agenda. According to him, in the current situation, such a step makes no sense either strategically or tactically.
“There is no reason for such a step,” Trump said.
However, during that speech, Trump did not rule out that the United States could continue strikes on Iranian territory. The American leader also said that Iran is in a state of decline, the country's leaders have died, and Iran's Air Force and Navy have ceased operations.
