Some details of the phone conversation between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and US President Donald Trump have been disclosed.
Modern.az reports that, according to information from Turkey's “Hürriyet” newspaper, during the phone conversation held on January 28, Erdoğan also discussed the Iran issue with Trump.
Although the full details of the conversation have not been disclosed, “Hürriyet” has obtained some information regarding the discussion between the leaders.
It is noted that President Erdoğan told Trump: “Let us connect you with Iran; speak with Tehran officials via teleconference.”
Trump is reported to have responded positively to this proposal.
Turkish media has written about the possibility that President Erdoğan could resolve the US-Iran tension through negotiations.
