Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has instructed the country's foreign minister to explore the possibility of talks with the US.
Modern.az reports that in a post published on the X social media platform, President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that following requests from friendly governments in the region regarding the US president's offer of talks, he has given clear instructions to Iran's foreign minister.
President Pezeshkian wrote: "Considering the requests of friendly governments in the region to respond to the US President's offer of talks, I have instructed the foreign minister, provided that a suitable environment free from threats exists, to conduct fair and equal talks based on the principles of dignity, prudence, and expediency".
The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran emphasized: "These talks will be conducted within the framework of our national interests".
