New statistical data on the arsenals of countries possessing nuclear weapons worldwide has been released.
Modern.az reports that Russia's total number of nuclear warheads is 5,459. Of these, 1,150 have already been withdrawn from service. The United States ranks second on the list. The US nuclear arsenal contains 5,177 warheads, of which 1,477 are considered to have been withdrawn from service.
The figures for other countries are significantly lower. China's number of nuclear warheads is stated as 600, France's as 290, and Great Britain's as 225.
Among South Asian countries, India is reported to possess 180 nuclear warheads, and Pakistan 170. This figure is estimated at 90 for Israel and 50 for North Korea.
It is noted that the data provided for the US and Russia covers only nuclear warheads intended for strategic delivery systems. Additionally, it is emphasized that several countries also possess tactical nuclear weapons, but their exact number is difficult to estimate.
