Iran demands the inclusion of Lebanon in the document within the framework of a possible ceasefire agreement with the US and Israel.
Modern.az reports that, according to sources, Tehran considers this issue a priority and constantly brings it up in negotiations with mediators. The Iranian side believes that the inclusion of Lebanon in the agreement is important for maintaining stability in the region.
It is reported that official Tehran does not want a repeat of what happened in 2024. At that time, despite the ceasefire agreement, Israel had continued to strike Lebanese territory.
How this demand by Iran will affect the course of negotiations is not yet known.
