Netanyahu changes "Mossad" chief

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has appointed military secretary, Major General Roman Hoffman, as the director of the "Mossad" intelligence service.

Modern.az reports that the Prime Minister's Office released information about this.

The Advisory Committee on Senior Appointments approved Hoffman's candidacy on Sunday evening. Following the committee's approval, Netanyahu signed an order appointing Hoffman as the next director of Mossad intelligence. The Office noted that he will assume this position on June 2, 2026.

Hoffman was born in Belarus in 1976. In 1990, he moved to Israel with his parents. In 2022, he became the head of the National Ground Forces Training Center, and in May 2024, he became Netanyahu's military secretary.
