Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenka called Russian and US Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump emperors.
Modern.az reports that the politician stated this in an interview with RT.
“I am far from adapting to general love, both before and now. I am not an emperor, like Donald Trump or Vladimir Putin,” said the Belarusian president.
“They can allow themselves to think about making themselves loved. I don’t have the same opportunities as them,” he said.
Alexander Lukashenka also said that he reads Western media and knows what they say about him.
“They throw certain dirt on me: dictator, etc. I react calmly to this. When you started calling me “Europe’s last dictator,” I reacted like this: “Well, then hurry up, because I am Europe’s last dictator.” I was joking,” he said.
The Belarusian president added that he “does not have the resources to dictate.” According to him, Donald Trump has such resources and he “dictates in Venezuela, Cuba, and tries to dictate in Iran and China…”
“Dictatorship always leads to some kind of defeat, collapse,” Lukashenka said.
He cited the current military conflict between the US and Iran as an example, adding that it “is not a complete collapse, but something similar to a defeat.”
