Latvian Prime Minister Evika Siliņa has resigned.

According to the information, along with the prime minister, the government also resigned in full.
It is stated that the main reasons for the resignation were the growing economic problems in the country and the incident involving Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles.
Evika Siliņa stated at the briefing that her main goal was to ensure the development of the country, the welfare and security of the people.
“My goal was clear - to work for the development of the country, the welfare and security of the people, to ensure that our children appreciate their home, their country - Latvia. Parties and coalitions can change, but Latvia remains, people remain here,” she emphasized.
It should be noted that on May 13, two of the three parties in the ruling coalition declared that the government had “practically collapsed.”
