“Relations between Russia and China have risen to an unprecedented high level and constitute an example of true partnership.”

Modern.az reports with reference to TASS that this statement was made by Russian President Vladimir Putin during talks with the President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping.

The Chinese leader, in turn, noted that the level of relations between Moscow and Beijing stems from strategic cooperation.

On the morning of May 20, Putin and Xi began talks in a limited format at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. On May 19, the Russian president went to China on a two-day official visit. The delegation included five deputy prime ministers, eight ministers - including Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, as well as the heads of the Central Bank, Rosatom, and Roscosmos.
