Large industrial facilities located in Russia's Stavropol Krai and Nizhny Novgorod Oblast have been attacked by Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles.
Modern.az reports that one of the attacks was carried out on the industrial zone of Nevinnomyssk, Stavropol Krai. According to regional governor Vladimir Vladimirov, preliminary information indicates no casualties or serious damage. However, images circulated on social media show a fire in the industrial zone.
According to the publication "Astra", the fire was recorded on the territory of the "Azot" chemical plant. Reuters writes that the enterprise supplied raw materials used in the production of explosives in 2022-2024. It is reported that the plant has already been attacked seven times since the beginning of the war.
Another attack was recorded in Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast. Although official bodies did not comment on the incident, local residents shared images on social media related to drone flights and a fire at an industrial facility.
According to the analysis of Ukraine's "Exilenova+" monitoring project, the target of the attack was the "Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez" oil refinery, one of Russia's largest oil refining enterprises. The plant, owned by "Lukoil", ranks fourth in the country in terms of refining volume and second in terms of gasoline production.
According to information, the enterprise has the capacity to produce millions of tons of gasoline, diesel fuel, fuel oil, and road bitumen per year. Reuters previously wrote that the plant temporarily suspended operations after a drone attack on April 5.
