Preparations for the military parade to be held in Armenia on May 28 in connection with Republic Day are continuing. Chinese-made CH-4 “Rainbow” combat unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were also seen in the footage taken from the preparations.
The images recorded in Yerevan on May 25 actually confirmed the previously circulated, but not officially confirmed, information about the deployment of CH-4s at the Gyumri airbase. Thus, CH-4 UAVs were openly demonstrated to the Armenian public for the first time.
It should be noted that, however, the Armenian government and the Ministry of Defense have not yet made an official statement regarding the purchase of these unmanned aerial vehicles.

What kind of UAV is CH-4?
CH-4 is considered one of China's most famous strike and reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles. The device is manufactured by the Chinese state corporation CASC (China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation - ed) and is similar in design to the US-made "MQ-9 Reaper" UAV.
CH-4 is mainly designed for aerial reconnaissance, surveillance, target coordinate transmission, high-precision missile and bomb strikes.
The main features of the UAV are:
-Ability to stay in the air for up to 30 hours
-Flight at an altitude of 7-8 kilometers
-Long-distance control via satellite
-Night vision and thermal observation systems
-Electro-optical camera complex.
CH-4 can be armed with various guided munitions - AR-1 anti-tank missiles, laser-guided bombs, high-precision smart munitions.
This device also allows observation at long distances from the front line, correction of artillery fire, and precise strikes on manpower and equipment.
CH-4s have been used in various conflicts in the Middle East and African regions in recent years and have been exported by China to a number of countries.
