From January to May this year, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck 15 Russian oil refineries, causing a crisis in the fuel market.
Modern.az reports that President Volodymyr Zelensky stated this in his video address.
"Our long-term sanctions plan is being implemented step by step. Between January and May this year, our soldiers were able to hit 15 Russian oil refineries. This is significant. Russia has already banned the export of aviation fuel and gasoline from its territory, and a ban on diesel exports is being considered. For a country recently called a gas station, even losing this is a significant story, a significant loss. As of May, approximately 40% of primary oil refining in Russia has been halted," he said.
